SEAI home energy grants in 2026
SEAI offers grants for insulation, heat pumps, solar and other eligible home energy upgrades. The figures below are maximums: eligibility is decided by SEAI.

Individual grants or a One Stop Shop?
Individual grants suit a step-by-step project: you choose eligible upgrades and manage the work. A registered SEAI One Stop Shop suits a managed whole-home upgrade. It arranges the assessment, project management, grant paperwork, works and follow-up BER; the grant is deducted upfront. SEAI says this route targets a minimum B2 BER.

Questions people ask
Do I need an SEAI-registered contractor?
Yes. Grant-funded work must be completed through the relevant SEAI-registered contractor or, for a whole-home route, an SEAI-registered One Stop Shop.
Can I apply for more than one SEAI grant?
SEAI individual grants can support one or more eligible measures. You must check the relevant grant terms and have approval before work starts.
Who decides if I am eligible?
SEAI decides eligibility and the final grant payment. Check the official SEAI page for the measure before committing to work.
